Obituary for Judith "Judy" A. King

Judith (Judy) Ann King was born August 8, 1944, at Pryor, Oklahoma to Berry Jefferson and Hettie Lee (Giles) King. She left this earth to be with her parents and siblings September 9, 2019 at Salina. She was 75 years old.
Judy was the youngest of nine children. Judy attended Big Brewer school south of Salina, OK. After attending school, she moved to Enid, OK for 6 years and then returned to Salina to live with her mother until 1984, when she moved to Home of Hope at Vinita, Oklahoma and resided there the remainder of her life.
Judy loved riding “Ole Babe” whether alone or with her nieces and nephews. Growing up she enjoyed going on rides with her father in the pickup cause it meant she was getting a “Pepsi”. Judy loved to write in her notebooks, do coloring and enjoyed her stuff animals and dolls that family and friends would get her. While residing at Home of Hope she made life time friends. She enjoyed participating in Special Olympics, going to rodeos, making trips to shop, going to the movies and eating out, especially ice cream. She was always ready to go on any adventure trips with her roommates. Judy never met a stranger and was always glad to have visitors.
Judy is survived by her sister-in-law Lorene King, nieces and nephews and their spouses, Tom Dillard and Mary, Eugene “Samson” Dillard and Sheila, David Musgrove and Pam, Don Lawson and Denise, Jerry Lawson and Debra, Ann Elliott and Steve, Peggy Dickson and Bill, Doug King and Anita, Wanda King Wade and Jim, Sheila King Lewis, Shoun King, Deborah King Zumstein and Jerry, step-nieces Gaye Lynn Thornton Kerns, Ruby Graber and Jim, and May Yoder, and step nephew Bill Chupp Jr and Edith. Her housemates, Luann, Karen and Kim, plus all the wonderful staff at Home of Hope and Vinita DHS.
She was preceded in death by her parent’s, Berry and Hettie King, her siblings and their spouses, Clay and Dorothy King, Hayden King and Wilma King Edmiston, Evelyn (King) and Willard Musgrove, Clara Mae (King) and Ernest Dillard, Hettie Ann (King) and Bill Chupp, Berry Lee and Fada Fern King, Bobby Gene King, Loretta King. Nephews Roger King and Duane King and great nephew Garland King.
The Celebration of Life Graveside Services for Judy will be held 11am – Thursday September 12, 2019 at Bryan Chapel Cemetery with Eugene Dillard officiating. The family will meet and greet with friends from 5pm – 8pm Wednesday September 11, 2019 at Stephens-Key Funeral Home. The family has entrusted the arrangements to Stephens-Key Funeral & Cremation Care of Pryor.
