Obituary for Carol June Hall

Carol June Casey, daughter of the late Marion Jefferson Casey and Junieb Vaughn Casey, was born July 29, 1939 in Pryor, Oklahoma. She attended the public schools of Pryor and was a member of the graduating class of 1957. Her family was among the first members of the Pryor Church of Christ (she was only three days old), and she was a devoted member there for many years.

She married Allen Darrell Hall, of Vinson, OK, on September 10, 1960. In December of 1974 they moved to Joplin, Missouri, and soon after adopted their daughter. They were members of the Fourth and Forest Church of Christ in Joplin for twenty-two years. They were very active in the church, where Allen served as a deacon and he and Carol helped run the Joy Bus ministry. Carol enjoyed her time in Joplin serving her church and creating many enduring friendships. Upon retirement in 1996, the Halls moved back to Pryor to be closer to family. After a wonderful 46-year marriage, Allen preceded her in death on February 12, 2006.

Carol passed away on March 8, 2019 at Hillcrest South Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her brother, Curtis Lee (1936), and sister, Betty Ruth Stafford (2015).

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her beloved daughter: Julie Carlynn Hall Swaim of Broken Arrow, OK; son-in-law, Matt Swaim of Broken Arrow; three grandsons, Jackson, Carson, and Grayson Swaim; sister Patricia Stafford of Pryor, sister Linda Combs and brother-in-law Don of Amarillo, TX, sister Sandera McAnally and brother-in-law Alan of Adair, brother Jimmy Casey and sister-in-law Stephanie of Pryor, and brother Doug Casey of Pryor; brother-in-law Charles Stafford of Pryor, sister-in-law Willie Mae Hall of Joplin, MO, sister-in-law Dolly Mitchell of Canadian, TX, and sister-in-law Ruth Mitchell of Glen Rose, TX; as well as--to use a word her husband Allen like to use--a plethora of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
